you're welcome, it grabbed me right away because I love crows too! They're my favorite and have always been my muse. My first novel is called "Crow Paths" so I totally relate to the comfort of watching crows and hearing the ca-caw haha.
Oh thank you, I'm so stoked to meet another Crow fanatic too, haha.
Thanks for your interest in it! I actually started writing it when I was just 16 and re-wrote it a ridiculous number of times over the years. I decided to just self-publish it on amazon since it took me forever to complete and it has some deeply personal elements tied in. Will definitely share some excerpts, looking forward to reading more of your work as well!
i hear you on that. i have one i've been re-editing for over fifteen years... been considering self-publishing too, just to get some of my novels out there and move on, so they stop tapping on my shoulder all the time and clearing their throats
That's exciting and I totally get it! I think it took me nearly ten years too. I just didn't want to let go of my characters after being on their journey for so long, but it gave me relief to start some new projects. I'd exhausted myself with re-editing and changing the story around way too many times, but those characters and I literally grew up together! I probably did things totally backwards as far as not marketing before I released books, but I do like the flexibility and artistic freedom of self-publishing.
This stuff is great, Samara! Cheers to 2012.
thank you so much, Luis!!!
I love your poetry style!! ✨✨ It's so unique. ❤️
aw thank you, ally! in the first part of the poem I was mimicking the ca-caw of a crow…you can tell I’ve spent too long alone with crows😮💨

Ooh great response poem! I like “dropped three times / like prophecy” …
My adventures are many and strange indeed!
